Remodelling

Giving your treasured jewellery a new life.

Jewellery isn’t just metal and sparkly stones – it’s memories, love, and stories carried through time. But often, inherited pieces or old favourites end up tucked away in a box, unworn because they don’t quite fit your style anymore. We’d love to change that for you.

At Bowen Jewellery, we take the time to understand what makes your jewellery special, then carefully reimagine it into something fresh and contemporary that you’ll enjoy wearing every day. This way, you keep the sentiment and history, while giving your treasured pieces a new chapter to shine.

Consultation

We’ll start with a relaxed chat, either in-person or over Zoom — whichever works best for you.

This is your chance to share the stories behind your treasured pieces, their history, and what you’d love to create with them.

If you already have a vision or photos for inspiration, that’s wonderful — but don’t worry if not. We’ll explore ideas together and get creative during our meeting.

Design

Once we have a clear idea, we’ll bring the design to life — either on paper or using Computer Aided Design (CAD). As you can see in the example above, CAD allows us to create a realistic image of what your ring could look like.

When you’re happy with the design, we can 3D print it in resin for you to try on.

This is an important step: it lets us check the fit and gives you a real sense of the finished piece. At this stage, changes can still be made, which is exactly why we do it — to give you peace of mind and ensure the final piece, made from your treasured materials, is just right.

Making

Once you’re happy with the design, we can begin the making process.

Depending on what’s needed, we may work with trusted casting specialists to shape your piece in your own sentimental gold, before it returns to our workshop to be carefully hand-finished. Hand-finishing means refining the cast by removing sprues, soldering, filing, polishing, setting stones, and giving it a final polish.

In other cases, everything is created in-house — from melting and rolling the gold to forming your design using traditional goldsmithing methods. It all depends on the piece we’re making together.
